In 2007, Chuy’s launched an aggressive expansion plan to extend its brand beyond Austin. To accomplish this, Chuy’s enlisted Parkway to develop a prototype, handle all architecture and construction. Parkway provides Chuy’s complete Program Management including Pre-Construction Services (preliminary budget estimates, site investigation, permitting, etc…), Design, Architecture, Value Engineering, Construction and Construction Management. Chuy’s décor is eclectic, featuring hubcap-lined ceilings and shrines to Elvis. “Our motto has always been, 'If you've seen one Chuy's … you've seen one Chuy's,” says Chuy’s CEO Steve Hislop, referring to the layout, which is designed to look as if dining rooms have been added over time. Parkway has been able to help Chuy’s maintain its unique design, navigate city issues and most importantly drive accelerated schedules to help meet critical development goals.
