With the desire to continue an aggressive building program Parkway’s design and construction team has worked at a feverish pace to meet the expansion objectives for Chuy’s.  Many of the spaces that are being developed are challenging therefore due diligence and planning are critical to the process for support of the schedules.  Time lines from real estate to open in many cases are less than half of the industry standard and design build has accomplished incredible results.

Continuing their 13 year relationship with Arnold Palmer Golf, Parkway has completed the design and is under construction on the Club at Prescott Lakes in Prescott, AZ.  The existing course had a temporary facility when Parkway was asked to compliment the surrounding architecture for the new club house.  Meetings with the club staff and Palmer golf resulted in a well designed functional space that met the project budget.  With a difficult layout due to the topography the space necessary was designed for full utilization to minimize costs necessary in the structure.

Parkway continues its relationship with Darden restaurants by completing 27 remodels in multiple national markets. Asked to do up to 12 stores in a market, Parkway built a team and process to meet Darden’s standards for time, cost and quality.  Through the extensive remodels Darden required the stores to remain open for business.  Close coordination with the store managers was necessary to ensure that no guests were effected during construction.  Parkway was able to meet the requirements and be commended by the Regional operators for their service.

Parkway was chosen to design/build the Houston Texans Grill and to construct the Indianapolis Colts Grill.  Parkway worked with the Texans and Colts to design and build an upscale establishment that would combine warm and innovative materials to complement their individual brands.  Time was a critical aspect of the project and tight schedules were kept from beginning to end to meet G3’s needs.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), provides a suite of standards for environmentally sustainable construction. Since its inception in 1998, LEED has grown to encompass more than 14,000 projects in the United States and 30 countries covering 1.062 billion square feet (99 km²) of development area. The hallmark of LEED is that it is an open and transparent process where the technical criteria proposed by the LEED committees are publicly reviewed for approval by the more than 10,000 membership organizations that currently constitute the USGBC.

Parkway Construction has invested heavily in training and education of its employees and can now bring LEED certified staff to assist in projects of this nature.
